Background: With spring upon us, seeds will be sprouting into small plants. To keep the small seeds from being blown or washed away, the seeds must have a way to secure themselves in the ground. You will be scientists who observe the seeds in order to discover how they secure themselves so they can grow safely in one location.
Directions: In this science challenge, you will be able to watch a seed grow into a plant. In your Science Challenge Bag Garden, you will receive a paper towel and 3 seeds. The steps to set up your bag garden is below:

We chose to use radish seeds since they grow quickly and just learned that if some bean seeds are eaten raw or cooked incorrectly, they can be harmful if eaten.
